Mental Health Matters Week
Mental Health Matters week March 19-22, 2018
Mental Health is a lifelong investment in yourself! With the proper tools, you can make sure that you get the most out of yourself and your life. We will be located on the Kennesaw Campus Student Center Patio and around the Marietta Campus GLOBE from 11:00am-2:00pm each day.
Join us for MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS Week to learn how to...
Monday Invest in…. OTHERS
Connecting and supporting others is a great way to boost your mental health and feel good about yourself. Show your support for yourself or others who may be experiencing mental illness. Stop by and make a Bracelet to wear all week to let others know you support Mental Health Matters.
Tuesday Invest in…. YOURSELF
When things get hectic, it’s easy to forget about yourself and your needs. Taking time out for yourself is a proven way to keep yourself balanced and feeling good. Stop by and make a Sugar Scrub so you can have your very own spa day at home!
Wednesday Invest in…. THE FUTURE
Sometimes thinking about the future can be difficult. We feel like we have too many options or not enough, we’re unsure of our wants and needs, and sometimes we just don’t know where to begin! Join us in making Vision Boards to help you understand and shape your future.
Thursday Invest in…. THE PRESENT
Life can be stressful and overwhelming at times. Feelings of distress can keep us from experiencing things in the moment and make us feel like we’re missing out. This day, we’ll be teaching Distress Tolerance and practicing ways to cope with challenging times. Come join us to learn how to make the most out of each day.
If you attend all 4 of the Mental Health Matters Week events, you will receive a free t-shirt and be able to participate in a tie dying activity! Make sure you stop by each day!
